The third International Symposium on Materials and Sustainable Development ISMSD2017 (Ex-CIMDD2017), will provide a unique topical forum to share the latest results of the materials and sustainable development research in Algeria and worldwide. It brings together the engineering, physics, and material science communities working on advanced materials and their applications. Thus, during two days, the various scientific disciplines concerned by Materials and Sustainable Development will be focused on 4 main topics.

Topic 2: Materials Chemistry and Building Materials: Materials Chemistry, Polymer materials and processing, Structural chemistry of materials, Green Building Materials and Technologies, Advances in Cement based materials, Sustainable Resources and Materials Use, Material Quality and Control, Local and Recycled Materials, Smart & Sustainable Materials, Concrete Technology, Geo-polymer composite materials.
Topic 3: Waste Management, Recycling and Environment: Advanced waste treatment technologies, Best practices of efficient waste, Energy and resource recovery, Renewable Energy from Waste, Hazardous and medical waste treatment, Innovative recycling methods and technologies, Environmental aspects of waste treatment technologies, Recycling/resource recovery, Resource efficiency, Waste policy development and waste prevention.
Topic 4: Materials Processing Technology: Materials Forming, Processing Technology for Functional Materials, Advanced Composite and Hybrid Processes, Modeling and Simulation of Manufacturing Processes, Design of Equipments and Tools, Evolution of Material Properties, Function Test and Evaluation Technology, Manufacturing and Processing.
