The study area is located southeast of Hamedan, wholly composed of metamorphic rocks within schist to slate grades. Schist’s may reach up to amphibolites facies. Metamorphic intensity decreases eastward. Rocks within Dehnow-Asadolahkhan, Ashagheh-Naticheh that are located northwest & south of the study area, respectively, have undergone a higher metamorphic grade.
Ignoring the minerals formed during metamorphism within these rocks, the aforementioned rocks are sequences of fine-grained detrital deposits (in clay size & somehow pelite mud) may have had coarser grains ranging to siltstone or fine-grained sandstones.
Studies in Dehnow Asadolah khan were done on the scale of 1:20000 whereas Cheshmeh Pahn Kandoolan studies were done on the scale of 1:2000.
In dehnow asadolah khan, an iron deposit near Zaman Abad, Al-silicate index, garnet index & active silica mine are noteworthy.
In Cheshmeh Pahn & Kandoolan refractories ranging in percent of rock from less than 10%, 15-20% were recognized the rocks represented as the above percent ayes which makeup the rocks. At last, it can be said that andalusite reserve of andalusite is about 896200t in cheshmeh pahn & 34200t in Kandoolan. The total reserve in the both deposits amount to about 430000t.
