Final report on technical-economical assessment of Kuh-Sefid phosphate concentration plant in Khuzestan Province
This report presents the result of technical-economical studies for the Kuh-Sefid phosphate plant in the Khuzestan province.
The Kuh-Sefid phosphate deposit has occurred in the Pabdeh horizon with layered structure divided into four blocks. The deposit has occurred in the northern, western and southern slopes of a large anticline and therefore its dip, strike, thickness and grade vary in different locations.
The ore grade ranges between 3% to more than 14%. The average grade of deposit is 10.25%. Reserve estimation by hypsometry method yielded about 16 millions of ton phosphate ore.
The economical assessment of the mine was done by three methods of current value, investment recurrence rate and investment recurrence period. The calculations were based on the sail of 102000 tons phosphate per year. In this project, combination of mine and processing complexes will lead to more economical exploitation.
