Khorasan Razavi is one of the oldest areas of northeastern Iran and one of the newest provinces in Iran. In the past, it was a part of Khorasan Province. Khorasan Razavi is a tourist destination in Iran due to its different attractions especially Imam Reza (PUH) Holy Shrine.
Khorasan (North, South and Razavi) has undergone different changes during its geological history. For example, erosion factors have had an effect on Khorasan and caused significant changes. Glacial, fluvial and eolian erosion has led to the current morphology of North, South and Razavi Khorasan.
