Final report of tungsten exploration in Durbeh deposit, North of Oshnaviey
Based on a contract between the Industries and Mines Organization of Azarbaijan-e Gharbi and Kav-Gostar consulting Engineers, the Durbeh tungsten deposit was explored. The 1:2000 geology and topography maps were prepared for an area (1.2 Km2). 13 trenches, a borehole and two explorational fronts were excavated. At whole, 160 samples were collected of which 63 ones were analyzed by XRF, 32 ones by XRD, and 100 samples by Atomic Absorption. 12 thin sections, 62 polished thin sections and 6 polished sections were produced.
After obtaining the rate data, rock classification, anomaly mapping and filed assessment, the genes of deposit was determined. Statistical analyses of geochemical data and reserve calculation led to this point that the deposit currently has not economical resources of tungsten.
