Following regional geochemical survey in the southeast of Hamedan (1:100000), the area between Silvar and Sangestan villages were introduced for more exploration.
Based on the contract between Overall Exploration Program of GSI and the Madankav Consulting Engineers, the semi-detailed exploration of Silvar-Sangestan area started according to the proposal.
Geology map of the area was prepared on the scale 1:20000. The sampling network was designed and 100 stream sediment samples were taken. Data processing was led to selection of 5 sq. Km area to be explored by geophysical methods. Ground magnetometery was done in a network of 100*100 m with 1300 sampling point. Although this step didnít led to significant geophysical anomalies, but more important areas were selected for lithogeochemical studies. Sampling networks were 200*200 m and 100*50m. Totally 500 samples were taken and analuzed (100 samples per Sq. Km). Also 200 samples were taken for alteration studies. The report presents the result of analyses and introduced mineral promising zones in the region.
