Isfahan is about 105937km2 and located at 30° 43’- 34° 27’ N latitude and 49° 36’- 55° 31’ E longitude. It is at the center of Iran and shares border with Markazi, Qom and Semnan to the north, Fars and Kohgilouyeh & Boyerahmad to the south, and Lorestan and Chaharmahal & Bakhtiyari to the east.
Isfahan province is divided into 60 cities, 17 towns, 37 districts, and 116 rural districts and its center is Isfahan.
Isfahan has got a moderate climate and it is an ideal place for tourists.
There are different plains in Isfahan that create a spectacular view. The major plains are: Barkhar, Kashan and Mobarakeh Plains.

Zayandehroud flows from its source at northeastern Zardkouh to Gavkhouni marsh (west to east). It attracts tourists and money to the region.
