Modeling of Masjed-Daghi Cu-Au deposit

The Masjed-Daghi exploration zone is located in the Arasbaran region. The Arasbaran region that is 24200 Sq. Km situated in the Azarbaijan-e Sharqi and Ardebil provinces of northwest Iran. Following the good news of mineral prospection is the Masjed-Daghi area, a detailed exploration project was started by drilling 17 trenches and 16 boreholes, IP-RS geophysical survey, lithogeochemical survey, 1:5000 geological mapping, 1:1000 topographic and geological mapping, XRD and XRF studies, and analysis of thin, polished and double polished sections.
The achieved data were used for modeling and evaluation of deposit. At first the drilling data stored in a database and then processed by Gemcom software. Four drilled boreholes were for studying the depth of porphyry mineralization, and 12 holes for studying the depth of epithermal vein mineralization. Because of the special situation of case, the modeling of deposit was done for Au and Cu bearing zones separately. Nine main cross sections and six minor cross sections were applied for producing the geometric model of epithermal veins. This part is evaluated in the report no 2. The porphyry section was assessed by two main cross sections and two intermediate cross sections.
