Geochemical Survey in the 1:100000 sheet of Hajiabad
Mineral prospection was conducted in the Hajiabad sheet, in the Sistan va Baluchestan Province, located between 60 to 60 30' E and 29 29 30' N. the study area that borders the Lut desert at east includes four 1:50000 sheets of Cheshme Ziarat, Chah Zard, Shuru and Hesaru.
A gird was designed for geochemical sampling based on the lithology, faults and drainage system. 631 geochemical samples were taken and analyzed for 44 element involving La, Zn,Cr, Mn, Ba, Au, Na, S, Zr, Hg, Ag, B, As, Co, Cu Cd, Te, U, Mg, Be, K, V, P, Li, Ca, Sc, Al, Fe, Ti, Sr, Tl, Cs, Ce, Bi, Y, Th, Sn, Rb, Pb, Nb, Mo, Sb, W, Ni.
Au was analyzed by Fire Assay, but the other elements by ICP-MS and AES methods. For controlling the analyses precision, we used Thompson controlling charts and calculation of relative error. For omitting the effect of lithology from the enrichment index calculation, we normalized the values of each variable.
Uni- and multi-variable statistical analyses were applied on the enrichment indexes and various required maps for factorial analysis, P.N and other parameters were produced. This survey was led to identification of ten anomalous zones.
Based on the mineral distribution and the conducted survey, the area is important for W and Au mineralizations. The control phase of primary identified anomalies included heavy mineral and mineralized sampling. 81 heavy mineral and 43 mineralized samples were taken and studied. Finally, three zones of NE Dumak, SW Hesaruyeh and SE Hesaruyeh were introduced for further studies.
