The area is part of Meshkin Shahr County, which is divided into three zones.
1- Noqdous: 47 22-47 25E and 38 23-38 26N
2- Anzan: 47 27-47 30E and 38 18-38 40N
3- Doust Beiglou: 47 32-47 37E and 38 32-38 35N
The area that is 130 square kilometers wide is accessible through asphalt and gravel road. During the project petrography, heavy mineral, geochemistry, magmatism, alteration zones and volcanic bodies of the area were investigated. 120 samples were taken for petrography, mineralogy and polished section assessments. 50 samples from alteration zones were studied by XRD method.
There is a volcano-plutonic complex in the area, which includes various rock types. This rocks have both granular and porphyry textures and cut by three fault system. The Eocene was specified to the gabbroid rocks. Magnetite, hematite and manganese minerals are in relation to diorite, quartz diorite and granodiorite that demonstrate skarn type mineralization. Monzonite, quartz monzonite and related hydrothermal fluids caused polymetallic mineralization (Mo, Pb, Cu, Au, Ag). Rhyolite and andesybasalt domes, younger than Oligocene, show lesser weathering. B is occurred as tourmaline in pegmatite.
